In March 2025, Tamra Judge shocked Real Housewives of Orange County fans when she dramatically peaced out from a cast trip to New Orleans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, following a fight with newly-returned nemesis Gretchen Rossi, Tamra packed her bags and flew home early. On the way out the door, she posted the equivalent of a \u201cgoodbye cruel world\u201d to her Instagram.\u201cWhen life gives you real problems, this reality sh*t doesn\u2019t make sense,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cI\u2019m out.\u201dTamra Judge leaves The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 for a short time\u201cTamra, you didn\u2019t quit!\u201d ET\u2019s Brice Sander began the conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not a quitter!\u201d she was quick to respond.Calling attention to the fact that RHOC Season 19 is now approaching the episode in which Tamra took her toys and went home, Brice wanted to know what she was thinking. \u201cWhat was going through your mind in the moments that you posted that?\u201d he asked.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was a very difficult time for me,\u201d Tamra explained. \u201cIt was probably two [or three] weeks after Teddi [Mellencamp] went into the hospital and had brain surgery \u2026 New Orleans was the last place we were together.\u201d As we all know, Teddi is Tamra\u2019s bestie, so it was understandable that she was upset.\u201cI\u2019m already fragile,\u201d Tamra explained. \u201cFilming a show like this just doesn\u2019t seem right when someone you\u2019re close with is fighting for their life.\u201dAfter the screaming match with Gretchen, Tamra realized, \u201cI can\u2019t do this anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo basically, I leave, obviously,\u201d she said. \u201cI get back [to Orange County], and everybody\u2019s calling me: production, [executive producer] Andy Cohen.\u201d\u201cThe first place I went to when I got home was my therapist,\u2019 she added. She also met with the show\u2019s psychiatrist.Tamra was subsequently diagnosed as being \u201cdeeply depressed\u201d and prescribed medication to help her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a visit with Teddi, which \u201cput a smile on my face,\u201d she felt much better.\u201cYou\u2019re not a quitter,\u201d Teddi told her. \u201cIf I have to go through this and power through, you [also] have to.\u201d\u201cI\u2019m doing this for Teddi,\u201d Tamra concluded, with a laugh. \u201cThat pushy little TWOT.\u201dThe Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9\/8c on Bravo in the US.
