Andy Cohen offered an update on casting on The Real Housewives of New York City and The Real Housewives of New Jersey while appearing on The View on Tuesday.As he also gushed over the\u00a0\u201cvery Italian,\u201d \u201chilarious\u201d women\u00a0of\u00a0Bravo\u2019s latest addition\u00a0to the\u00a0Real Housewives\u00a0franchise,\u00a0The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Andy, 57, suggested that\u00a0RHONY\u00a0was almost ready for production on its\u00a016th season\u00a0and revealed that the\u00a0upcoming 15th season\u00a0of\u00a0RHONJ\u00a0is currently being cast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[RHONY]\u2019s not over. We are between seasons, where we typically do a little casting, which is what\u2019s happening now, and we\u2019re very close,\u201d Andy confirmed on the June 3 episode of\u00a0The View.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, after sharing that there \u201cwill be\u201d new cast members, saying, \u201cAbsolutely,\u201d Andy moved on to\u00a0RHONJ, which\u00a0has been on \u201cpause\u201d\u00a0for nearly one year.\u201cWe are doing casting with [RHONJ] as well. It was really on a deep pause, and we are actively there, casting, and kind of looking at the future of what that will be,\u201d he stated. \u201cIt\u2019s a great franchise and we love it \u2014 I just have to reiterate that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also on\u00a0The View, after being asked about his claim that\u00a0RHORI\u00a0would give\u00a0RHONJ\u00a0\u201ca run\u201d for its money, Andy walked back.\u00a0\u201cWell, listen, [RHONJ] stands alone. Let me just say that. But these are real \u2014 you know, I don\u2019t think people realize what a\u00a0very Italian community\u00a0Rhode Island is \u2026 And you know what? You don\u2019t mess with folks from Rhode-y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
