Todd Chrisley<\/strong>\u00a0has admitted he was not a fan of daughter\u00a0Savannah<\/strong>\u00a0airing their family\u2019s dirty laundry on TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the Wednesday, October 1 episode of the\u00a0\u201cChrisley Confessions 2.0.\u201d podcast,\u00a0Todd said he would have preferred the drama between Savannah her grandfather,\u00a0Harvey Hughes<\/strong>, to stay private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, I look at it from the perspective of and, and you know, when I say this, you\u2019re going to know that, because I\u2019ve already said it, I feel like some situation less is more, right?\u201d\u00a0 Todd, 56, told his wife Julie, 52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cAnd you know that I was not in favor once I found out that this had been aired on, and she had said some of the things she\u2019d said.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todd explained that he thought Savannah, 28, should have dealt with her\u00a0issues with her grandfather, who is Julie\u2019s father, off-air, out of respect for her mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you want to call him out for, you know, not being there for you and not being the grandfather that he should have been then, that should have been done off air but it wasn\u2019t my choice,\u201d he continued. \u201cI don\u2019t get to make it. I don\u2019t get to feel hurt. I don\u2019t know how she feels, I know how she says that she feels\u2026 that everything was done for Chase, nothing was done for her, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While he would have preferred his family members to be more discreet when butting heads, Todd did admit it was true that Hughes did favor Savannah\u2019s brother Chase, 29, over her while the siblings were growing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cIt really has been that way her whole life, right? And so I think that that\u2019s accumulated from childhood, because, let\u2019s just face it, your dad is not noted for building women up. Your dad is from a whole other different generation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tension was evident during the premiere episode of Lifetime\u2019s\u00a0The Chrisleys: Back to Reality<\/em>\u00a0that aired in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hughes seemingly had issues with the way Savannah dealt with her parents being released from prison following a presidential pardon from Donald Trump<\/strong> in May. (Todd and Julie had been serving prison sentences for bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the episode\u2019s interaction, a frustrated Savannah was seen mouthing the words, \u201cI hate him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For her part, Julie shared in the podcast how hard it is to see her daughter and father at odds, admitting she feels \u201csad\u201d about the bad blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause that is my dad, and that is my daughter. You know, as you said throughout this last podcast and this one, everybody processes their pain differently,\u201d she said. \u201cI hope that they can come to common ground, and I hope that they can find a place, because that is her grandfather, that is his granddaughter. So I\u2019m very conflicted about it, so I have truly been in prayer over it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julie added that she can also understand why Savannah feels the way she feels about Hughes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
