Jim Edmonds\u2019 wife, Kortnie Edmonds, called the police on his ex Meghan King after the Real Housewives of Orange County alum allegedly entered the couple\u2019s home without permission, Us Weekly can exclusively report.Us obtained a report from the Frontenac Police Department detailing the incident on May 1 at Jim\u2019s home in Missouri. Jim\u2019s wife, Kortnie, was listed as the person who called the police and as the \u201cvictim.\u201d King, 40, was listed as the \u201csubject\u201d in the police paperwork, while Jim, 55, was listed as an \u201cadditional party.\u201d The report said Kortnie planned to press charges. (Sources close to King disputed Kortnie\u2019s characterizations of events.)The report said that officers were called out to Jim\u2019s home due to his \u201cex-wife\u201d having been \u201cto the residence several times throughout the day and was currently on scene causing a disturbance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While on the way, the officers were notified that the ex-wife was leaving the scene in a Jeep. The report said the police saw a Jeep matching the description and pulled it over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

King told police she was at the home to drop off clothes for her daughter. (King and Jim were married from October 2014 until Jim filed for divorce in October 2019. They hashed out a divorce deal in May 2021. The exes share an 8-year-old daughter, Aspen, and 7-year-old twins, Hart and Hayes. Jim married Kortnie in September 2022.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMeghan advised she had contacted her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, earlier in the day to arrange the clothing drop off,\u201d the report read. \u201cMeghan contacted Jim\u2019s current wife, Kortnie Edmonds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A source close to King told Us that she was en route to meet colleagues for an art event in St. Louis. The insider claimed Jim called Meghan to drop off their daughter\u2019s communion dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source told Us that King agreed and told Jim she needed to speak to their daughter when she got there. Kortnie was shocked and \u201cvisibly upset\u201d to see King and told her to leave the dress and leave immediately, the source added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The insider said King denied the request and explained she talked to Jim \u2014 who was not home when she arrived \u2014 about needing to talk to their daughter, which led to Kortnie calling the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source said the police deescalated the situation quickly. King was not arrested or detained. \u201cIt was shocking to her that it happened in the first place,\u201d the source told Us.\u201cShe is over this back and forth. She thinks it\u2019s ridiculous. It was a very simple interaction that didn\u2019t need police,\u201d the insider told Us. \u201cMeghan is unfazed because she doesn\u2019t want to escalate conflict. She just wants to take care of her family in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kortnie gave the police a different story. She told the officers that Meghan showed up at the home around 5 p.m.Kortnie told officers King \u201cran the doorbell multiple times.\u201d She said she walked to the door to get her step-daughter\u2019s dress that King was supposed to \u201cleave at the doorstep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMeghan refused to hand Kortnie the dress and \u2018pulled away and asked to speak to\u2019 [her daughter]. Kortnie told Meghan that [her daughter] wasn\u2019t home and she was at a baseball game with Jim,\u201d the report noted.According to Kortnie, \u201cMeghan became upset.\u201d She said she asked Meghan to leave the dress and then closed the front door of the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs Kortnie walked back towards her office, she heard Meghan inside the home yelling for [her daughter],\u201d the report said. \u201cKortnie walked back to the front door and observed Meghan standing inside the house approximately 5 feet from the doorway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kortnie allegedly told King to \u201cget out of my house.\u201d\u201cMeghan slowly walked back outside the residence, but wedged her foot in the door briefly so Kortnie couldn\u2019t shut the door completely. After Meghan moved her foot, Kortnie closed the door,\u201d the officer wrote as he summarized Kortnie\u2019s side of things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kortnie initially said she did not want to press charges but later \u201ccalled the police department to state she did want to press charges for harassment.\u201dJim arrived at the scene and told officers he had surveillance footage of the encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report was forwarded to the Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor for consideration of charges. On August 12, the officer was notified by Prosecuting Attorney Keith Cheung that charges were \u201crefused\u201d and that the case was a civil\/domestic dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police case was reclassified as \u201cinactive.\u201dUs learned that Kortnie filed a restraining order against King following the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 6, the parties agreed to a consent order where King would not come near Kortnie, they would stay 150 feet away from each other at activities for the children and King would not mention Kortnie on social media.A source told Us that King agreed to a consent order to avoid prolonged litigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rep for King tells Us, \u201cThe recent incident involving Meghan King has been mischaracterized. Meghan was simply attempting to drop off her daughter\u2019s dress at the request of Jim Edmonds and in coordination regarding their child\u2019s needs.\u201d\u201cMeghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch. Upon leaving, she was unexpectedly blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way that felt unnecessarily hostile,\u201d the rep added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is a long public record of police reports and [temporary restraining orders] in this matter that show Meghan is the one who has required protection \u2014 not the other way around. It should also be noted that Meghan has had primary responsibility for her children for some time now, with the other side\u2019s involvement limited to select occasions,\u201d the rep continued.\u201dThe former RHOC star\u2019s rep added, \u201cMeghan recognizes she is not alone \u2014 many women post-relationship face turmoil and untruths, especially when financial resources already create a personal dynamic of an uneven playing field.King\u2019s rep also said, \u201cThere is video footage of this incident, and Meghan wishes it would be shared publicly to clarify the truth.\u201d\u201cMeghan feels the situation is profoundly sad and will not comment further.
