“I want everyone to get along,” Todd<\/strong>, 56, shared exclusively with Us Weekly<\/em>. Putting an end to speculation about family favoritism, he clarified, “I don’t\u2014contrary to popular belief\u2014love this child [Savannah] more than her brother [Chase], nor do I love Grayson more than Savannah. I would lay my life down for any of them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maintaining his signature wit even in the face of family turmoil, Todd joked that he’d prefer his kids “don’t kill me with the worry.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Let me go out naturally,” he quipped, before taking a more serious tone. “But I just think it’s sad to watch your children argue, especially when it’s Chase and Savannah or Grayson. It’s heartbreaking.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The trailer for the new Lifetime series paints a grim picture of the once-inseparable sibling duo. Savannah<\/strong>, 28, and Chase<\/strong>, 29, who were formerly self-proclaimed “best friends,” appear to have hit a wall as they navigated life while their parents were behind bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Chase is not Chase anymore. He’s like an empty shell,” a tearful Savannah confesses in the teaser. “Part of me was so terrified that he was gonna end up dead. I don’t even want to try to build a relationship with him anymore.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The tension boiled over during a separate sneak peek of the premiere, where Chase presses Savannah for updates on their parents’ potential pardon. Having spearheaded the legal battle, Savannah admits in a confessional that she intentionally kept her brother in the dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “In our family, everyone says, ‘If you want the world to know, tell Chase,'” she explained bluntly. “You can’t trust that they’re going to keep their mouth shut. You can’t trust that they’re not going to say or do something that jeopardizes the pardon. And at this point, I’m not risking it. I’ve put too much work in over the last two and a half years to get this pardon done, and I refuse to let someone else ruin it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Watching the friction unfold is equally agonizing for family matriarch Julie<\/strong>, 52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “If you take the television out of it, we are parents,” she explained. “We are mothers and fathers who love our children with all our hearts. I always say I’m only as happy as my saddest child, and that’s something I truly believe and live by.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n While she is desperate to see her family reunite, Julie acknowledges that her hands are tied. “It breaks my heart to see them not doing well, whether individually, collectively, or in their relationships with each other,” she noted. “As a mother, I just hope they can start to heal and find common ground. They’re adults now, so the onus is definitely on them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lifetime cameras were rolling to capture the shifting family dynamics both before and after Todd and Julie were officially pardoned by President Donald Trump on May 27, effectively ending their ongoing bank fraud and tax evasion case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The couple was originally indicted in 2019 on charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy.
