Healthy communication and a shared sense of humor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum took to Instagram this week to share an inside look at her decades-long marriage to Rich Wakile. The mother of two reposted one of her husband\u2019s Stories in which she was seen at their Franklin Lakes home guffawing at one of his jokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"347\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-651.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-651.png 347w, https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-651-174x300.png 174w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 347px) 100vw, 347px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAfter 35 years I can still make her laugh,\u201d Rich captioned the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How did Kathy and Rich Wakile meet?<br>Kathy and Rich met in the 1980s while on a flight from New Jersey to Florida. The couple recalled their first encounter in a 2018 video for Yahoo! Life, saying they had spent years running in the same circles in Paterson before their proper introduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"862\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-652.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-652.png 862w, https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-652-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/topkeynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-652-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 862px) 100vw, 862px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow did I miss those beautiful eyes of yours?\u201d Rich asked his wife. \u201cBest flight you ever took.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Needless to say, the pair quickly hit it off and had their first date in NYC\u2019s Greenwich Village. Rich and Kathy got engaged about a year later and exchanged \u201cI do&#8217;s\u201d the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe made me laugh. Fans got a close look at the family&#8217;s tight-knit bond in RHONJ seasons 3-5, in which Kathy appeared as a full-time cast member. (She took on a friend role in the following two seasons.)
