The tea was officially spilled on the latest episode of the “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” podcast. Savannah Chrisley and Colton Underwood shocked fans by revealing they actually went on a date four years ago—well before Underwood made headlines by coming out as gay in 2021.
A Night to Forget
The pair first connected after the ACM Awards, but according to Savannah, the sparks were non-existent. Reflecting on the brief fling, the Sassy by Savannah founder didn’t hold back, describing the date as having “no connection” at all.
“I knew it from the jump,” Savannah joked, noting that the lack of chemistry was due to “obvious reasons” that everyone understands now. She even recalled telling her best friend, “I told you so!” the moment Colton’s ground-breaking 2021 interview aired.
The Todd Chrisley Factor
Perhaps the most “on-brand” moment of the story involved Savannah’s father, the outspoken Todd Chrisley. Colton recalled a particularly awkward encounter where the family patriarch gave him a stern warning.
According to Colton, Todd told him that Savannah “wasn’t ready for a man like him.” Looking back with the clarity of the present, Colton couldn’t help but agree, laughing as he admitted he wasn’t exactly ready for her either.
