Savannah Chrisley Updates on Her Egg Retrieval Journey: “I Look Like I’m Pregnant”

Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley recently shared a highly candid update about the harsh side effects she is experiencing during her egg retrieval process. The 28-year-old frankly admitted she is “not feeling great” as she navigates her body’s surprising reactions.

Challenging Side Effects

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday, April 6, captioned “Egg retrieval update,” Chrisley confided in her fans about her current health status.

Looking radiant in a long-sleeved black shirt paired with delicate silver jewelry, the former Chrisley Knows Best star shared that she was taking a walk around her neighborhood for some “light exercise.” Despite maintaining a glowing appearance, she didn’t hesitate to reveal her physical struggles:

“I’m not feeling great. The hot flashes are horrible and my stomach is rock hard,” she explained while panning the camera to show her visibly protruding belly. “And I look like I’m pregnant.”

Facing Endometriosis

Earlier, in September 2024, Savannah Chrisley first announced her decision to freeze her eggs on her personal podcast, Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley. At the time, the then 27-year-old described her initial doctor’s appointment as “quite the journey.”

This decision stemmed partly from the fact that Chrisley is battling endometriosis. According to the Mayo Clinic, this is a condition in which cells similar to the lining inside the uterus grow outside of it, which can cause severe pain and directly impact fertility.

Chrisley also opened up about the invisible pressures of growing up in the American South: “Being a woman, it’s really hard. I’ve always had this dream [of being a mother]. If you grew up in the South, you’ll understand. You have to have kids early, get married early,” she explained. “That’s just how it’s been for a long time.”

Embracing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

By December 2024, Chrisley updated her podcast listeners that, due to her current health issues, there was a “high probability” she would have to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive. Despite facing a complex medical road ahead, she kept her sense of humor when joking about motherhood:

“I have to say I am absolutely terrified of having a mini-me. Like, everything is going to come back and bite me,” she humorously shared.

New Romance and Family Plans

Not only is she open about her desire to have children in the near future, but Chrisley also recently showed off her new boyfriend. On March 1, she posted a mirror selfie with her new beau. Though keeping her suitor’s identity private, Chrisley paid a special tribute to the late wealth manager and influencer Charlie Kirk to express her views on family:

“In the wise words of Charlie Kirk: Get married. Have kids. Build a strong family. Being a soft woman is very attractive because it means you are safe, loved, and you made the right choice,” she wrote alongside the hashtag #charliekirk.

Savannah Chrisley’s new relationship blossomed nearly a year after she officially split from Robert Shiver in April 2025, marking a hopeful new chapter in both her love life and her journey toward motherhood.
