Rumors surrounding Terry Dubrow’s sexuality recently gained traction online — and now, both he and wife Heather Dubrow are addressing the speculation directly.

During Wednesday’s episode of iHeartRadio’s Between Us podcast, the The Real Housewives of Orange County star firmly shut down claims that her husband of nearly three decades is gay.TV Reality Shows
“It’s just so stupid,” Heather said. “Why would we hide that? Why would we live a lie like that? It would be the most hypocritical — and what would we be showing our kids?”
Terry Jokes About the Speculation
Terry, 67, also weighed in on the rumors with humor.

“First of all, if I’m gay in this long-term relationship, please feel bad for me because I’m not living my true life,” he joked. He added, “By the way, if I were gay, I’d be really happy about it.”
The famed plastic surgeon, best known for Botched, went on to quip that he might even be “a lot wealthier” under different circumstances, keeping the tone light as he dismissed the claims.
Heather and Terry married in June 1999 and share four children: twins Max and Nick, 22, Kat, 19, and Ace, 15. Three of their children publicly identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Max has shared that she is bisexual, Kat has come out as lesbian, and in 2023, Ace came out as transgender. Nick has not publicly identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Over the years, both Heather and Terry have been vocal supporters of their children and the broader LGBTQ+ community — support that has also been documented on RHOC.TV Reality Shows
Speaking previously about Ace’s transition, Terry emphasized the importance of listening and maintaining an accepting home environment.

“Don’t judge. Listen. Don’t talk,” he said in an earlier interview. “You’ve got to be very careful because there’s a lot of hate out there. So you have to envelop them in love and support.”
Heather has also been praised by her children for making an effort to understand and grow alongside them. Max previously shared that her mother actively educates herself and fosters an inclusive space at home, while Kat described Heather as easy to talk to and genuinely invested.
Nearly 30 Years of Marriage

Earlier this month, the couple celebrated 29 years together, sharing a lighthearted social media post dancing in matching pajamas.
“Happy Anniversary Honyi! I love you @drdubrow,” Heather wrote. “29 years?!? Seems like yesterday.”
Their long-standing marriage has weathered both public scrutiny and personal challenges. In 2023, Heather revealed she urged Terry to seek medical attention after noticing he was slurring his speech at dinner. Doctors later determined he had suffered a transient ischemic attack (TIA), often referred to as a mini-stroke.

Following his recovery, Heather posted a heartfelt tribute expressing gratitude for his health and their life together.
Setting the Record Straight
With their latest podcast appearance, Heather and Terry made it clear they view the rumors as unfounded — and inconsistent with the transparency they strive to model for their children.

For the Dubrows, the focus remains on family, health, and continued advocacy — not internet speculation.
