We know Melissa Gorga as a feisty The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom and wife, boutique store owner, and singer of classics like “On Display.” Before her rise to fame, however, Melissa had a different vocation.
In the video above, which is an extensive tour of Melissa and husband Joe Gorga’s stunning New Jersey shore home, Melissa revealed an interesting detail about her past.

“This is where all the fun happens, liquor’s always flowing,” the mom of three shared as she showed BravoTV.com the intricate details of the home’s outdoor bar and grill area.

“Let’s not forget: I used to be a bartender — not a stripper,” she joked.

Melissa didn’t show off any Cocktail-inspired tricks, unfortunately, but the little tidbit made us want to know more.

Where did she work and when? What was her life like as a bartender? Can she still make a delicious drink? We have so many questions.

Melissa Gorga celebrates her career ventures
Melissa’s bartending days are in the past, and now, she’s more focused than ever on two growing businesses: her Envy boutiques and her new sprinkle cookie business, the latter of which launched in December 2024.

Melissa Gorga shares details on Envy Boutique stores
To start with, Melissa opened a new brick-and-mortar outpost in March 2024 and celebrated with friends and family.

The new store is located in Huntington, New York, marking Envy’s first expansion into another state (she started the franchise in NJ, of course). Melissa’s passion for fashion has been well-documented throughout her time on RHONJ, and the latest brick-and-mortar location proves just how far she’s come. Surrounded by family, friends, and cast members, Melissa welcomed guests into the chic new space, posing for photos and greeting shoppers as they browsed the stylish racks.

Melissa previously shared that the new location would be “double the size” of her original store, and she couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come. “I worked hard to be where I am and it was worth every second,” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post at the time. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has made my store a success.”

Additionally, Melissa’s sprinkle cookie business, Let’s Sprinkle by MG, announced the launch of her brand-new coffeecake — the first product in her line that isn’t a sprinkle cookie. In a vibrant Instagram photo carousel shared on April 20, Melissa is seen wearing a butter yellow mini dress while holding the colorful, circular coffeecake in one hand and opening an oven with the other.

“Soft, moist, [and] rich. The batter is filled with colorful sprinkles!” she wrote in the caption. “It’s topped with a buttery streusel crumb and a hint of vanilla. The perfect Spring cake for all your Easter [and] Mother’s Day celebrations!”

The festive treat is now available to order for $32.99 on the Let’s Sprinkle website.
