Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA) has issued an urgent notice of a voluntary recall of certain ready-to-eat creamy chicken Alfredo products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes – a bacteria that can cause serious illness, especially in older adults, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.

The affected products were distributed at Walmart and Kroger supermarkets nationwide. The warning was issued after routine testing at the manufacturing facility found positive signs of Listeria.

According to ABC News reporter David Muir, the incident is attracting great attention from consumers. Many people are concerned about having purchased or consumed the product without knowing it.

Important Information:
Product: Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken, Ready-to-Eat.

Distribution Period: The recalled lots have a best-before date of June and July 2025.

Action Required: Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

USDA is also continuing to work with the manufacturer and distribution system to control the risk of further spread and ensure consumer safety.

How Dangerous is Listeria?
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious infections, especially meningitis, miscarriage in pregnant women, and even death in the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.

👉 If you or a loved one has consumed the product and has symptoms of fever, diarrhea, muscle pain, or nausea, seek medical attention immediately.
