‘I KICKED HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE…’ – Patrick Mahomes’ father reveals sh0cking moment that sparked his rise to NFL greatness!

Patrick Mahomes – the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs – has always had a special supporter behind him: his father, Pat Mahomes. Few know that before being known mainly as “Patrick Mahomes’ dad,” Pat had a long and successful professional baseball career.

Born in Lindale, Texas, Pat attended Lindale High School. Between 1992 and 2003, he played for several major teams including the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Pat also played overseas in Japan for the Yokohama BayStars. Although he’s retired now, his love for sports continues as he cheers for his son from the stands.

Pat’s personal life also had ups and downs. He and Randi Martin – Patrick’s mother – officially separated in 2006. Despite that, they maintain a supportive relationship and often come together to watch Patrick’s games. Besides Patrick and Jackson Mahomes, Pat is also the father of Zoe Mahomes and Graham Walker. Now, he’s a proud grandfather to Sterling and Bronze – Patrick’s children with his wife Brittany Mahomes.

Though Patrick played baseball, basketball, and football when he was young, Pat once hoped his son would follow in his baseball footsteps. In a 2023 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Pat shared, “Patrick grew up around baseball, was always the best player on his team, and threw very fast pitches, so I thought he’d become a baseball player.”

Another interesting detail is Pat’s connection to Taylor Swift, who is dating Travis Kelce, Patrick’s teammate. Pat said he introduced himself to Taylor at Arrowhead Stadium and was surprised she already knew who he was thanks to watching the Netflix series “Quarterback.” Pat described Taylor as down-to-earth and genuine.

Pat has also faced some legal troubles. In February 2024, he was aɾɾested on DW1 charges and was later chɑrged by pr0secutors in Texas. By August 2024, Pat pleɑded gu1lty. Nevertheless, he continues to show up and support his son passionately from the stands.

Now in his fifties, Pat Mahomes remains a dedicated father who proudly follows Patrick’s journey. For him, the greatest pride isn’t just Patrick’s success on the field, but seeing his son grow into a responsible man, build a loving family, and pass on the sports spirit to the next generation.
