April Bowlby’s career took a significant leap when she secured her role on the popular sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” Within just months of her first Hollywood audition, she landed the part of Kandi, a role that would become a pivotal point in her career. Reflecting on this period, April shared with Cream Magazine, “It was very exciting, let me tell ya. I was very nervous but, luckily, when you’re just starting out, and if you have a good team – which I did, you go on all sorts of auditions and you just hope you’re booked for a role.

Landing a role in such a high-profile show provided April with the opportunity to work alongside some of Hollywood’s big names, including Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer. “The character really worked for me,” she noted. Despite the controversies surrounding Charlie Sheen during his time on “Two and a Half Men,” April Bowlby’s experience with him was nothing short of positive. She described Sheen as laid-back with a dry, raw sense of humor, stating, “When we chatted [off-camera], he was actually laidback with a very dry, raw sense of humour.
He and Jon Cryer were very charismatic with each other.”

By the time April joined the cast, the show was already at its peak, and the environment on set was professional and cohesive. “The show was at its peak when I entered the picture; a well-oiled machine with everyone getting along,” she recalled.
April’s role as Kandi, initially named Kimber, became a fan favorite due to her character’s lovable naivety and charm.
