Todd Chrisley Speaks Out on Daughter’s FBI Email: “I Don’t Blame Her, But the Truth Will Come Out”

After months of silence, Todd Chrisley has finally addressed the controversial email his daughter Lindsie sent to the FBI, a message that once deepened the family’s internal rift and fueled years of public speculation.

The moment was revealed in a recent episode of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, where Todd opened up about the pain and confusion surrounding the incident that fractured his relationship with Lindsie.

“It Was One of the Most Heartbreaking Moments of My Life”

Todd described reading the email — which allegedly accused him of harassment and manipulation — as a deeply emotional and devastating experience.
He emphasized that the letter was written during a time of fear, confusion, and heavy outside pressure, and said he still harbors no anger toward his daughter.

“I don’t blame her for being scared,” Todd said. “But the truth will come out, and I believe God knows my heart.”

He also suggested that media scrutiny and external influences may have distorted the family’s story.

“It’s hard when your own child believes things about you that aren’t true,” he continued. “But forgiveness is the only way forward. I still love my daughter, no matter what she’s said or done.”

Savannah and Chase Speak Out

During the same episode, Savannah Chrisley revealed that prosecutors had read Lindsie’s email aloud during the court proceedings, reopening painful wounds for the entire family.

“Prosecutors read the letter Lindsie wrote to the FBI,” Savannah said. “We’re not a family anymore.”

Her brother Chase Chrisley added,

“If your own blood can hurt you, then imagine what a stranger can do.”

The Allegations That Shook the Chrisleys

The conflict traces back to when Lindsie Landsman Chrisley reportedly contacted the Georgia Department of Revenue and the FBI, requesting a no-contact order against Todd and accusing him of attempting to exploit her.

Earlier, Lindsie had accused Todd and Chase of trying to extort her by threatening to release a sex tape.
She spoke publicly about the ordeal in October 2019 during an appearance on Dr. Phil, just two months after Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of tax-related charges.

Lindsie claimed that her father had asked to meet her in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he implied she had an inappropriate relationship with an IRS official.

“That’s when I was told that Chase had compromising evidence — nude photos — and that he had allegedly bought the tape for $5,000,” she said at the time.
“I ended the conversation immediately, and my attorney advised me to contact the police.”

In the final episode of Back to Reality, Todd read Lindsie’s court testimony from his and Julie’s trial, in which she stated that she no longer believed the sex-tape extortion allegations.

A Painful Chapter in the Chrisley Family Story

Todd’s comments mark a significant turning point in the Chrisley family saga.
While the wounds remain raw, his message of forgiveness — paired with a quiet insistence on truth — suggests he still hopes for reconciliation, even amid heartbreak.

“Family isn’t perfect,” Todd concluded. “But I’ll never stop loving mine.”
