After years of mistreatment and near starvation, a French Bulldog named Rambo is getting a second chance at life thanks to a swift intervention by the 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation.

🚨 Beaten in Public: Witness Alert Leads to Rescue
In late April 2025, in the town of Armentières (Northern France), a passing motorist spotted a severely emaciated dog walking beside a man on the street.

Concerned by the dog’s skeletal appearance, she stopped her car to investigate—and was horrified to witness the man repeatedly punch and kick the animal.

She immediately filed a complaint, citing serious abuse of a companion animal.
🛑 No Food, No Care, No Excuse
Local police, in coordination with the 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation, visited the man’s home. Upon arrival, investigators witnessed the bulldog being kicked again—right in front of them.

The 29-year-old owner had no dog food, no veterinary papers, and no explanation. He claimed the dog originally belonged to his brother and that he lacked the means to provide care.
“There is no excuse. If you’re struggling, you ask for help—you don’t let an animal suffer like this,” said Brigitte, an investigator with the foundation.
🐾 Emergency Care and Round-the-Clock Feeding
After Rambo was officially surrendered, he spent two days with the foundation’s team before being transferred to the La Tuilerie shelter (Seine-et-Marne). During this critical period, he was fed every two hours to stabilize his condition.

In addition to extreme malnutrition, Rambo suffered from skin infections and painful paw conditions—all signs of long-term neglect.
“He arrived in an alarming state,” said staff at the shelter. “His body tells the story of years of suffering.”

🌟 Signs of Hope: A Future Beyond Abuse
Today, Rambo is under specialized treatment and slowly regaining his strength. Recent medical tests have shown encouraging results, and once he recovers fully, he will be put up for adoption.

“Until then, our team is showering him with the love and care he deserves,” the shelter affirmed.
