Aguascalientes, Mexico โ In an inspiring milestone for animal welfare, the Humane World for Animals program has surpassed its expectations: over 1,500 dogs and cats have received free medical care in just a few months since its launch!
Since March, mobile veterinary clinics have been rolling out across communities in the state of Aguascalientes, bringing hope and essential services to both pets and their owners.
From vaccines to community education โ Itโs all free!
The clinics not only provide rabies and combination vaccines, but also provide deworming, general checkups, and free health certificates for pets. In particular, the program also organizes sharing sessions on responsible pet ownership for pet owners, as well as educational classes for children on animal welfare and animal bite prevention.
7 communities have been reached โ and more are on the way!
To date, the program has been present in 7 areas: San Marcos, Villas, Pozo Bravo, Guadalupe Peralta, Centro, Jesรบs Marรญa, and Calvillito. This is a major step forward in the effort to bring veterinary care to all levels of society, especially in areas where there is a lack of medical care for animals.
A big boost for the national animal welfare program
This project is considered a breakthrough in the national program for pet care in Mexico, contributing to raising public awareness, reducing abandoned pets, and promoting a culture of responsible pet ownership.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community and the relentless efforts of the organizing team, the program is now exceeding its 2025 goal by more than 30% in just the first few months of implementation.
