Panamanian influencer and model Gracie Bon was rushed to the emergency room over the weekend after suffering a severe allergic reaction to a store-bought pancake mix.
The incident occurred Sunday morning when Bon prepared pancakes using a pre-packaged mix. Roughly 30 minutes after eating, she began experiencing alarming symptoms, including throat tightness, eye pain, and widespread body aches.

Fearing for her safety, Bon immediately sought medical help at Punta Pacífica Hospital. Doctors at the emergency unit quickly diagnosed her with a strong allergic reaction to an unknown ingredient in the pancake mix – something she had never previously reacted to.

“This was terrifying,” Bon shared via her Instagram Stories from the hospital. “My throat didn’t just close up – my eyes burned like they were being scratched from the inside. It was horrible.”

She added: “Apparently I’m allergic to pancake mix – and I didn’t find out until now, at 27. Thankfully I made it to the ER in time.”

After receiving treatment, Bon was discharged the same day and is now recovering at home under medical advice to rest. She also thanked her followers for their concern and messages of support.

“I’m okay now. But please be careful with what you eat, especially when it comes to processed mixes. You never know,” she concluded.
